Ryan Beal, M.D. is a serial entrepreneur focused on biopharma drug delivery innovation. He is recognized for his ability to leverage his scientific, R&D, and clinical acumen with a creative strategic and commercial mind. He has been involved with the launch of medical products with collective annual peak sales over $50 billion and been involved with the founding of multiple healthcare companies. Prior to his entrepreneurial endeavors, Ryan spent 7 years with McKinsey & Company where he was a leader in their Pharmaceutical Practice. He earned an M.D. with honors from the University of Pennsylvania School of Medicine and a BA with honors in Biophysical Chemistry from Dartmouth College.

Chuck Harbert, Ph.D. worked for 30 years with Pfizer Central Research. Prior to his retirement from Pfizer he was Vice President of US Exploratory Development and Head of Project Management and Strategic Planning. He has broad and deep experience in drug discovery and early development through Phase II proof of concept. He led the chemistry team that discovered Zoloft, a highly successful antidepressant drug, and CP-55,940, a highly potent cannabinoid that was utilized by NIH scientists to elaborate the endocannabinoid receptor system. Chuck received the Pfizer Achievement Award in 1998, and he and the Zoloft discovery team were awarded the American Chemical Society “Team Innovation Award” in 2006. He was endorsed in 2017 by Who’s Who as a Lifetime Achiever in the pharmaceutical industry. He completed an NIH Postdoctoral Fellowship at Stanford University after earning his Ph.D. in Organic Chemistry from the University of Missouri.

Jim McGee has over 20 years of corporate executive experience with Fortune 50 companies including Walt Disney Company, WellPoint, and Anthem. Jim’s start-up experience includes building one of Los Angeles’ first e-commerce development firms, Guidance Solutions. The company was one of LA’s 15 fastest growing technology companies three years in a row, raised $25 million in growth capital, and continues to operate today. Prior to joining Dyve in 2018, Jim served as a regional CEO for American Red Cross for 7 years. He received his MBA from University of Southern California and BA in Economics from Wheaton College.

Nathan Fitzsimmons, Ph.D. joined Dyve in 2015 after spending over 5 years with McKinsey & Company consulting companies in the biotech, pharma, and medical device industries. Nathan received his Ph.D. in Neurobiology from Duke University and he also received his BSE in Biomedical Engineering from Duke University.

Scott P. Barlow joined Dyve in 2018 with over 23 years of experience as an attorney and over 19 years of experience serving as a general counsel and secretary to the Board of Directors for public and private companies. As the Executive Vice President and General Counsel for Conversant, Inc. (a publicly traded advertising, technology company), Scott spent 15 years overseeing the Company’s worldwide legal department. Scott has substantial experience in licensing, IP prosecution, SEC compliance and led the legal team that negotiated over 17 mergers and acquisitions during his tenure with Conversant. Scott left Conversant in 2015 after it was acquired by Alliance Data Systems for $2.3 billion. Prior to Conversant, Scott was the Vice President & General Counsel with Mediaplex, Inc. and helped lead Mediaplex’s IPO process in 1999. In 2011, Scott was named one of the top-25 general counsel in the State of California by the Los Angeles Daily Journal. He holds a Bachelor of Science in Advertising from the University of Florida and a Juris Doctor from the University of Akron School of Law.
